The flashlight comes in a reusable hardshell, reusable, foam-padded carrying case. It comes with a rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery and recharger. The flashlight can also be powered via 3 AAA batteries. The flashlight is made of a lightweight aluminum alloy that feels solid and durable. It has a matte black finish and ribbed grip on the torch head, which extends to allow you to focus the beam. A wrist strap is included, though it doesn't have a tightening band. The flashlight lens is made of a thick acrylic that spreads the light from the single, high-powered CREE LED bulb.

With the battery, this flashlight weighs 6.25 oz. It measures 5.25" inches long and 6" when fully extended (for a focused beam of light). There are 5 modes for this light: High, Medium, Low, Strobe and SOS. To switch between the modes press lightly on the power button but do not fully click it. You can also cycle through the modes by turning the flashlight off and on again. The focused "zoom" light is brighter and goes a farther distance, but covers a smaller area. From a distance of 10' the focused area of light will be about 1 ft sq. The unfocused light has a spread of about 1.5x, or about a 15' radius at 10' away. The focused spot tends to be square shaped like the LED. Also note that the battery will run warm after about 5 minutes. It probably won't burn your hand, but you'll want to make sure you don't leave it on when you stick it in your pocket. This flashlight is bright, compact and durable and is perfect for stowing in your glove box, camping or power outages.
