Buddha smiled and replied Imagine there is a cup filled with poison.

If someone offers you this cup, would you drink from it? By holding onto anger and resentment,
you are willingly drinking from this poisonous cup, allowing it to harm you from within.
Instead, choose to let go of the cup and its toxic contents.
Free yourself from the burden of resentment and cultivate forgiveness, for it is through forgiveness that you will find inner peace and liberation.
Villager asked I understand now, Buddha. By holding onto anger, I am only causing harm to myself.
I will strive to let go of the poisonous cup of resentment and embrace forgiveness as a path towards healing and inner peace.
Buddha replied That is a wise choice, my friend. May your heart be free from the poison of anger and may you experience the profound peace that comes with forgiveness.
