AEA Varmint .25 Caliber Bolt Action Airgun Review - Hawke Optics - DonnyFL - Two Vets Tripods

The AEA Varmint is a no nonsense, bolt action pre-charged pneumatic, PCP airgun that comes in .22 & .25 caliber. It is unregulated, magazine fed and features shrouded and baffled barrel and a folding stock. It produces plenty of power and as it comes out of the box will send lighter pellets to supersonic speeds. It has a straight forward transfer port adjustment so that you can reduce power levels to a velocity where your pellets will be more accurate.

The rifle can be easily moderated if you install the adapter from DonnyFL. I'm using the fat boy two. Oh on mine, coupled with the that boy extender, and as you'll see in the video there is as close to zero muzzle noise coming from this air rifle as I have it set up.

In this video we talk about the features of this model, discuss pro's and con's and take it out and shoot groups at 50 yards and then engage a know your limits target at 30 yards. All of the shooting and this video is done off a tripod and bag rest while standing. This airgun is meant to be outdoors shooting at pests so this seemed like the most fitting way to do this test. Oh, and we used JSB Hades pellets.

The tripod is the Recon by Two Vets Tripods, and it is a beast. It's not only taller than anything I've seen, but it beats the competition in terms of smooth operation. It's awesome when the tripod you buy is the best one you've ever used!

I put a Hawke Vantage 30 WA SF IR 4-16x50 scope on it. I actually won the scope on Instagram and thought it was time to let it out of the box and see how it performs. Nice work Hawke.
