"There are no preconditions to do this (referring to the extension of the grain deal after 18 July) because it has not been fulfilled. The agreements have not yet been fulfilled. We have already heard the statement of the representatives of the United Nations, which is forced to admit that, unfortunately, it is not able to have a proper impact on the countries of the collective West in order to fulfil the Russian part of the (grain) agreement."

STORYLINE:
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that Russia was attacked by drones.

Peskov told reporters that an investigation was underway.

Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Wednesday that two drones were brought down outside Moscow as they approached the warehouses of a local military unit.

Russian media reported they came down near the village of Lukino, administratively part of the city of Moscow.

The wreckage of a third drone was reportedly found about 20 kilometers (12 miles) away.

No damage or casualties were reported.

Peskov also commented on the grain deal, saying there were no preconditions to extend the deal after 18 July.

"The agreements have not yet been fulfilled," Peskov stressed.

The agreement was made in 2022 between Russia and Ukraine, with the involvement of Turkey and the United Nations, amid Russia's military operation in Ukraine.

It has been extended multiple times.
