"Julia Florida" Augustin Barrios - Guitar: Otto Vowinkel 1994

In fact one of the more well known pieces written by this South Americain composer where he excels in his talent for composing. I like chromatic lines and for that reason I've changed some notes in the bass line in bar 7 and 8. In those bars the harmonics are fainting to my opinion but please feel free to play it according to the notes originally written by Barrios.

The somewhat earlier Otto Vowinkel guitar is rather simple regarding ornamentation but it is all about the sound and playability of this guitar. It colors nicely once striking the strings at different spots when you opting for that. Some reparations have been done on it but I don't mind as when a reparation is stable executed, nothing is likely to happen. It is my main spruce topped guitar and it will stay in my collection.
