Box Elder, a soft type of Maple, often has bright red stain sporadically grown throughout the white wood, which can be a beautiful display of contrast. These 2 logs had minimal red stain, not as spectacular as we had hoped, but it was still a pleasant mix for the customer who brought the logs in for custom sawing.
