RENAISSANCE HOTEL AT HEATHROW| simple tour and review| 2022

This is a simple over guide of the 4 star Renaissance Hotel at Heathrow Airport, UK. The hotel is often used for those travelling through Heathrow airport and is perfect for an early flight the next day.

The hotel is situated closest to Heathrow terminal 2&3 and others modern, moderate priced rooms for travelers. The video doesn't give much of our POV but the overall atmosphere / non bias interpretation but I decided to also add my TripAdvisor review which gives an insight in the more 'realistic' side of our stay.

OVERALL- The hotel doesn't deserve the 4 stars due to the unhelpfulness with a mess up of number of beds, HORRIFIC transport & parts of breakfast. Yet, the hotel did have some pros inc the cooked breakfast, view from runway views & modern rooms.

We visited on the 17/02, during the storm Eunice where many flights were cancelled. This meant hotels were very busy. Check in was easy enough and we were on the 3rd floor with a runway view.
(ROOM) when we arrived to the room, it was modern & had a comfy king sized bed YET, we booked (via separate bookings) a room for 1 and a room for 2A and 2C. Yet, we had a room with 1 bed & 1 with 1 king sized bed and 1 single bed. After calling, they did NOTHING & were very rude about it. Luckily it got sorted but, it was disappointing from the hotel. However, the room was tidy & had a good sized TV & great views.
(BREAKFAST) We had breakfast the next day which was mostly good. The cooked breakfast was great which inc plenty of options for veggies too. The juices were so good and there were many options! The fruit and the bakery options was lacking. No pancakes or even JAM!
(TRANSPORT) We had a flight for 12:05 at T5 and left the room 8:15- NO UBERS would take a party of five & cases which is stupid as its an AIRPORT! There's NO FREE TRANSPORT & despite asking the concierge to book a taxi, he ignored our plead which so rude. After waiting 30 mins, a tiny bus came which cost £11 for a 4 of us. At least 50 people waiting, only 15 people got on the bus.

Overall, despite our stay being worse than expected, I strongly believe this is a one off due to the storms but please do bear in mind transportation options! The experience wasn't any better than the typical premier inn/ holiday inn but plane fans will love the runway views!
