Bejeweled Twist - Challenge Mode: Twisted Challenge Pack #1 - Detonator (1 to 14)

First planet of Bejeweled Twisted's Challenge Mode.

You have to clear a set number of gems, or the whole board, in 1 move. Later challenges introduce a time constraint and a special gem constraint for some. The first 7 challenges are that of the original planet, the latter 7 are original.

Balancing - 8/10: The planet departs from the basics to more varied board sizes that require more elaborate setups from challenge 8, and the introduction of these variants as well as the various constraints are quite jarring for me. In addition, the nature of challenge 12 means that it is more luck-based than what comes before and after it, which can lead to it being a very, if not needlessly, difficult challenge.

Enjoyment - 5/10: The additional constraints in terms of special gems are interesting as it adds a more strategic facet to the planet, but otherwise I don't see much else going on with this planet. The fact that it uses the original 7 levels as a foundation also hampers the originality of this planet and, to be completely frank, can come across as lazy. Challenge 12 can also produce dead-end boards too due to its small size, which can be a source of frustration for anyone who's playing.
