Описание к видео INITIATION OF TSAWE PRIESTESS AT KPONE & TSAWE KPELEJOO || TSAWE KPELEJOO & MEJOO 2022

Nuumo Tetteh Diaka II was enstooled sometime back and it is time to initiate his first priestess. Watch his enstoolment here and learn more about Tsawe here -    • INSTALLATION AND OUTDOORING OF TSAWE ...

The Kpele was climaxed with Me and Otu dances as Tsawe dances both Me and Kpele. The initiation of a new priestess demands that she be smeared with certain substances before being brought to the town square. She would eventually be possessed and taken to the Tsawe shrine back and forth to recite some incantations to the Tele drummers for 3 good times before she becomes a full Tsawe priestess.

Afterwards, she is cladded in white to signify victory. Then she keeps changing attire for a number of times before they go to see the Mankralo and the Chief of the town.

We then had an interview with Naa Oku Afieye Monica to explain a whole lot to us. Do well to watch to the end.

My book on tourism, culture and histories is finally out. It is entitled 📚 KNOW GHANA BETTER. It talks about a whole lot from oral histories of Ghanaian tribes, migration accounts, festivals, languages in Ghana, tourist sites, legends and many more. There are 9 main language groups in Ghana

Guan
Ga-Dangme
Ewe
Senufo
Ghana-Togo Mountain Languages
Mole- Dagbon
Gurunsi
Akan
Gurma
All these 9 groups are discussed including their vast historical accounts, dialects, tourism potentials and a whole lot more into great details.

KNOW GHANA BETTER started with the dream of a young lad who had questions about the origin of most of the ethnic groups in Ghana and the reason why some languages are evidently the same yet, some ethnic groups claim they are different from them. We told the history the Ghanaian way: born of unity and not the one of separation as passed down to some of us. Some languages were born out of some.

You cannot tell the history of some communities in isolation from the others. In short, all Ghanaian ethnic groups are interconnected.

BOTH SOFT COPIES AND HARD COPIES ARE OUT

In KNOW GHANA BETTER, you get details about the origin of names of communities, ethnic groups, languages and festivals; where they are celebrated and many more. The total list of Languages spoken in Ghana, tourist sites and many more are all available in the book.
