What NOT to do as a student pilot - My Student Pilot Story

This is the story of my own student pilot journey and it is the story of how Part Time Pilot was created. When I realized what it was that held so many (8 out of 10) student pilots back from realizing their dreams of becoming a pilot... I tried to search for a place that provided it... but I couldn't find one. The thing that was holding all these student pilots back was a lack of preparation. A lack of preparation for what's required of them, their FAA Written exam, their flight lessons, and their FAA check-ride. You see, when a pilot is not prepared... they are too busy thinking instead of flying the aircraft. This leads to unsafe and hazardous conditions. As Maverick in Top Gun said, "if you think, you're dead". You need to prepare such that you are always mentally ahead of the aircraft so that you can react to what's around you. THIS is what makes a good and safe pilot.

Sure, I found bits and pieces here and there but there wasn't one source of information that took a student pilot from the very beginning of their journey and educated them through their student pilot license, medical certificate, ground school, FAA Written exam, flight lessons, and FAA Checkride.
