What causes tinnitus that sounds like a heartbeat?

I discuss the causes of pulsatile tinnitus and how to check for them. I talk about scans, blood tests, and some of the different conditions that cause this pulsing noise that can be heard. This is not an exhaustive list but you should have a better understanding of what doctors are looking for.
