They were just sitting there, staring at the wall
No way was to be found to make things change at all
But then she slowly turned her head to him and smiled
He was about to leave and she asked, if she could come with him

So she packed her bags and they star' to move
Though they didn't know where they were going to
She was so quiet, she was thinking something hard
He wondered what it was; perhaps it was from where they could start
They were so far, them lonely hearts, and she was going his way...

And they took a train, though they had no clue
Where they were going to, they just had to move
I don't know, if they should have stayed there;
Perhaps the place they were looking for is nowhere

until she turned away, that unpleasant day, I wonder why she didn't say

Later he found her in a country bar
She looked so sad, so he asked her what was wrong
And she told him, that she had gone too deep
And that she would do anything, if he just gave her the stuff she needs

And she had forgotten his name
So he walked away from that fucking bar
And she was just sitting there
Looking for someone to give her a ride...
