Asherman’s Syndrome is a condition where scar tissue (adhesions) forms inside the womb. These adhesions can affect your menstrual cycle and may impact fertility.

It’s often linked to:
🔹 Surgery to the womb (like D&C procedures)
🔹 Trauma to the uterine lining
🔹 Infections affecting the uterus

Common symptoms include:
• Light or absent periods
• Painful cramping
• Difficulty conceiving

Diagnosis is usually made through a hysteroscopy, where a small camera is used to look inside the womb. In some cases, a specialised scan (hysterosonography or ultrasound) may help detect it.
