The Puma Fast-Trac NITRO is one of the better road-to-trail shoes that I've tested. I found it to be extremely comfortable, secure, and confidence inspiring. While touted as a road-to-trail shoe, I found it to feel more at home on the trails. The ripstop mesh upper is extremely durable, gusseted tongue is very comfortable, heel is secure, PROFOAMLITE and NITRO foam midsole is protective, and the PUMAGRIP ATR outsole is grippier than you'd expect!

Puma states; “The lightweight running shoe that will do it all, no matter the terrain – the Fast-Trac NITRO. It’s capable on any surface, including loose trails and gravel, thanks to the dual-foam midsole – combining full-length NITRO foam and a layer of ProFoamLite – and the durable PUMAGRIP ATR outsole. Integrated eyestays allow for a snug fit, and details at the toe provide both drainage and protection from debris.”

• Best for: Neutral pronators.
• Ripstop mesh upper.
• Forefoot drainage ports.
• PROFOAMLITE and NITRO foam.
• PUMAGRIP ATR outsole rubber with bidirectional 3mm lugs (lug size not verified)
• 29mm heel, 21mm forefoot, 8mm drop.
• 255g-270g (not verified)
• $110-$120 US MSRP (depending on color).
