Mountain Bike Adventure at Valemount Bike Park, BC | Part One

Last summer we cancelled our annual trips out to the Rocky Mountains due to the global pandemic. With restrictions being relaxed this summer we committed to our trips to the mountains. We were spending 5 days in Jasper, Alberta which is only about a 90 minute drive from Valemount, BC. A few people told me that the if you're that close to the Valemount Bike Park it would be nuts not to go ride there. We had never heard of this bike park, but were willing to trust their recommendations. Even though it is a bike park, it is free to ride. It does offer a shuttle service, but it seemed like most people tended to shuttle themselves up the mountain with their own vehicles. We decided to climb by our own volitions for a couple of laps, and then to shuttle ourselves for the remainder of the day.

Needless to say the riding at Valemount Bike Park was incredible, and am I ever glad that we decided to go ride there. This is definitely a place you should plan to go ride your mountain bike. It offers a great variety of trails and is meticulously maintained.
