UPI raises daily P2M payment limit to Rs 10 lakh from September 15 | Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe
From September 15, 2025, UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is set to undergo major changes. NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) has revised the limits for high-value transactions. Now, you can make payments up to ₹5 lakh in a single UPI transaction. Daily limits have also been increased up to ₹10 lakh for sectors like capital markets, insurance, government e-marketplace, travel bookings, and credit card/EMI payments.
Big update in UPI Transaction Limit 2025! The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has announced new changes effective from 15 September 2025. The biggest relief will be for those making large transactions through apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm.
For Person-to-Merchant (P2M) transactions such as insurance premium, loan EMI, capital market investment, government e-marketplace purchases, tax payments, travel bookings, credit card bill payment, and jewellery purchases, the transaction limits have been significantly increased. For example, insurance and loan EMI payments can now go up to ₹5 lakh per transaction, with a daily cap of ₹10 lakh. Similarly, credit card bills, tax payments, travel bookings, and investments will also allow higher limits.
This move will boost cashless transactions, digital payments, and ease of doing large payments without cash.

UPI Transaction Limit 2025 में बड़ा बदलाव! नेशनल पेमेंट्स कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (NPCI) ने 15 सितंबर 2025 से नई लिमिट लागू करने का ऐलान किया है। अब इंश्योरेंस प्रीमियम, लोन EMI, कैपिटल मार्केट इन्वेस्टमेंट, टैक्स पेमेंट, ट्रैवल टिकट बुकिंग और ज्वेलरी खरीदारी जैसे पर्सन-टू-मर्चेंट (P2M) पेमेंट्स पर लिमिट पहले से कहीं ज्यादा बढ़ा दी गई है।
अब इंश्योरेंस और लोन EMI पर एक बार में 5 लाख रुपये तक, कैपिटल मार्केट और टर्म डिपॉजिट पर 5 लाख रुपये तक, टैक्स और सरकारी ई-मार्केटप्लेस पर 5 लाख रुपये तक, और ट्रैवल बुकिंग पर भी 5 लाख रुपये तक पेमेंट संभव है। वहीं, क्रेडिट कार्ड बिल पेमेंट और ज्वेलरी खरीदारी की लिमिट भी बढ़ा दी गई है। NPCI के इस फैसले से डिजिटल पेमेंट और कैशलेस ट्रांजैक्शन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा और ग्राहकों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी।
