Segmented Bowser Style Patchwork Bowl

This is another segmented wood bowl that I was commisioned to make. It will be a gift for a client of my customers. This video will give you an idea of the steps involved to make a segmented bowl. There are 169 segments total in the 9 rings. 6 rings consist of 16 segments each and the 3 patchwork rings have 24 segments each. 4 rings are made with curly maple & 2 rings are made with Peruvian Walnut while the 3 patchwork rings cosist of 2 segments each of Ambrosia Maple, Birdseye Maple, Canarywood, Cherry, Mesquite, Padauk, Pecan, Peruvian Walnut, Purpleheart, Red Oak, Walnut Crotch & Rustic Walnut. The base of the bowl is a solid piece of pecan wood.
