EDIT 17/04/2025: Argonaut has launched yesterday the v1.04 of the game that includes a lot significant bug fixes (like the incorrect eye blinking animation in the Balloon Man) and changes such as restoring particles, secret area sparks illumination corrections and the native implementation of the PS1 sountrack. Because of this, somewhere in future I'll record the whole walkthrough again to show those changes. This one got renamed as "v1.00" and will later be archived. Until the new recording I'm on a break and also give time to the devs to implement more patches (hopefully a native keyboard mapping menu!).

The third level of the Castle Island is unique because it's completely structured with challenges. Players might have to restart it a few times because of the Question Mark Crate mixing challenge as one of them has got a hidden Gobbo. This video can also serve as a guide for those who are looking forward to unlock the "Why That's Defrightful" achievement.

Even the cauldron makes a return in a longer version than the first time in the Ice Island. Clearing it in one go is a must if players want to rescue a Gobbo, otherwise they must start the whole level over if they miss an item to the floor. I highly recommend to use the classic/tank controls to operate the buttons.

The same control method recommendation is done for the Grimmy challenge by using the classic/tank controls by going back and forth to press the switches in the way I show later in the video. This strategy was also used in 1-3 and 2-6's Sheep and Penguin challenges.

Dungeon of Defright makes a return in Croc 2 but it will have a completely different presentation to players.

There are two other paths that players can choose in the 6th Area, but it will make them miss a Gobbo, the last four Coloured Crystals and the Crystal Door. Those same areas, Area 8 and 9, will be shown in a devoted video later for the extras of this walkthrough's playlist.

A few notes:

This video was recorded and played in 1.0 version.
This video was recorded with the game's Remastered settings.
The keyboard layout can currently only be mapped by modifying a config.ini file in the AppData folder (Special thanks to Paul and Ray for the trick). I did it in order to be able to play with the same custom layout as I did with the walkthrough of the 1997 game that's also available in my channel. I hope a native method to change the keyboard controls gets considered in future updates.
