The price of nickel rose to $100,000 a Metric Ton this week on a short squeeze on the LME metals exchange. Back in 2011 hedge fund manager Kyle Bass bought 20 million nickels worth $1 million because the value of the metal inside the nickels were worth 6.8 cents at the time. So now that the price of commodities like nickel are hitting all time highs, how much are the metal in the nickels worth? Should Kyle Bass sell his nickels?
