Creating a 2d/3d Fantasy Environment in Blender with Grease Pencil and toon shading.
This 2d/3d stylized scene/Environment is an extension of my previous grease pencil artwork to get the same fantasy vibe with medieval environment and interesting NPR Lighting.
This time with the help of toon shading, I decided using some colors instead of a monochromatic look. So first I looked for some references to create this Fantasy Environment model. then I started setting up the shadow colors with the toon shading setup, this way I feel like I have more control over the final look for this stylized 2d/3d environment. once I was done with the shadows, I started with the light colors. then after finishing with toon shading, i used grease pencil to draw over this scene to get this sketch like feel to this scene. At the end i played around with a bunch of setting and nodes in compositor to enhance the result.
