In this updated video I describe the six causes of cold feet. (In a previous video I described the five causes.)

Here are the six:

1. Low adrenal hormones. There’s a condition called Addison’s Disease, where you’re basically running out of adrenal hormones and you have extremely low sodium. You constantly want salt. Your adrenals regulate minerals including sodium. You could also develop low blood pressure, leading to cold feet.
2. Hypothyroid. Increase your intake of iodine and selenium. Selenium is necessary for converting inactive thyroid hormone to the active version. You need iodine to make thyroid hormone in the first place. Hashimoto responds pretty well to selenium. And selenium helps your immune system.
3. Diabetic, especially if you get neuropathy. You get nerve damage in your feet, hands, and fingers. They may go numb or you may feel tingling.
4. Low sodium can occur when you’re on the ketogenic diet. When you go keto you lose a lot of excess body fluid, resulting in a loss of salt (and other electrolytes). You’re also giving up a lot of junk foods, processed foods that contain a lot of sodium. On keto you want to add sea salt to your diet.
5. Low zinc
6. Low iron especially if you have anemia

Which of these symptoms align to yours? I put a number of links below to videos that describe symptoms of low zinc, iron, and sodium so you can figure out what’s causing your cold feet.
