Описание к видео AJIL Webinar: International Legal Perspectives on the Israel-Hamas War

A panel of distinguished experts address a broad range of international legal issues related to the war and the history of the region including the laws of war and occupation, criminal accountability, claims to self-determination, colonialism, and the role of outside actors, including international organizations such as the United Nations. More broadly, panelists consider the relationship between international law and morality, what we can we hope or expect from international law at moments of profound crisis, and what the war and its history means for the global community of international lawyers.
The panelists are Steven R. Ratner (University of Michigan Law School), Dr. Alejandro Chehtman (University Torcuato Di Tella and the Argentine National Research Council), Dr. Janina Dill (University of Oxford), and Adil Haque (Rutgers Law School). The moderator is Ingrid Brunk (Vanderbilt University).
