Hiking above Lago di Braies! (Seekofel, Dolomites) Solo Vanlife Italy 🇮🇹

On this video I went to explore Lago di Braies with my friend Clara. We visited at sunset once the buses had stopped running to get the lake as quiet as possible and got some amazing views. Upon arriving we saw a massive mountain standing tall over the lake but my knee was still a bit sore from the previous videos hikes.

The day was set to be clear skies with rain in the coming week so we decided to go for it and just take it easy. The start of the hike was around the lake and it soon became clear why not many do this route, there was loose scree and endless incline. It felt like at times the end wasn’t in site but once we got to the top we were rewarded by the most insane views. Wait until the end of the video and you’ll see the drone shots.

Even though it was one of the more “loose” paths, I’d still recommend it to people if you want to avoid the crowds and avoid the tourists around the lake!

Something to also note is the road that heads towards braies is a toll booth between 09-18:00 from memory so if you’re in a van, arrive late and leave late and you won’t have to pay for entering the area. There’s a few good spots on park4night just a 10 minute drive from the lake.
