Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, is a highly revered gurdwara that was built at the site where the founder of Sikhism, Baba Guru Nanak Ji, was born. The shrine is located in the city of Nankana Sahib, near the city of Lahore in the Punjab province of Pakistan.
Saka Nankana
More than 200 Sikhs were killed during the 21 February 1921 Nankana massacre, which took place after a confrontation between supporters of Mahant Narayan Das, and members of the reformist Akali movement who accused him of both corruption and sexual impropriety.
Rai Bular Bhatti
Rai Bular, was a Muslim Rajput noble of the Bhatti clan during the latter half of the 15th century. He inherited the position as zamindar (lord) of Talwandi from his father Rai Bhoi. Although a Muslim, Rai was inspired by Baba Guru Nanak Ji and donated half of his land - over 18,500 acres of agricultural land. He was among the first few people who viewed Nanak as someone who was specially gifted by God.
