Each unit should have a recruitment team of Scouters that are ready to promote their unit at any event. They should also be equipped with applications and new parent guides. The team should be very familiar with the process and know what kind of training would be needed. They would also help recruit leaders for the committee and scout-facing leadership.

Why should each unit have a recruitment team? Every unit needs to recruit every year and all the time. Having a Team of parents helps maintain the flow of the process.
Cub Scout – Ideally recruit the Parents and then the Youth. (At signup night the Youth are already sold.) The pack recruiters are usually the Cubmaster and Den Leaders. The youth set the example and play with their new Scouts.
Troops & Crews – Recruit the Youth and then the Parents. (Youth join and parents are recruited later.)
Having an adult team of recruiters can help organize the youth recruiters of the unit.
Youth do most of the talking in their presentation. Many troops have numerous cub scout packs crossovers that require their recruitment team.
