Cut 30 stones from Giant 891-Carats Opaque Blue Sapphire | Gemstone Cutting, Faceting & Polishing

I received this enormous, deep blue sapphire from a friend as part of a trade involving a batch of tourmaline gemstones. Several months have passed, and on Sunday, August 6, 2023, we decided to explore the potential hidden within this substantial raw gemstone.

The stone lacks clarity, but it's a natural blue sapphire gemstone from Afghanistan. We have successfully cut this massive rough stone into approximately 30 smaller stones, with a few rough pieces still remaining.

Nine stones have been sold to date, leaving 21 stones available for clients on a budget.
