A bizarre case out of Florence, South Carolina has parents, students, and the public stunned.
Authorities arrested 32-year-old teaching assistant Alexander Lewis at West Florence High School after weeks of foul odors disrupted classes, sickened students, and triggered $55,000 worth of inspections and A/C repairs.

Officials say Lewis used an “internet-bought poop spray” between August 25 and September 19, causing nausea, dizziness, and asthma flare-ups among students and staff. Surveillance footage allegedly caught him spraying the substance in a breezeway, though he denied wrongdoing and claimed it was “lemon hand sanitizer.”

He’s now charged with disturbing schools and malicious property injury over $10,000. His first court date is set for October 15.
