Today's Catholic Mass Readings & Gospel Reflection – Friday, October 17, 2025
Reading 1: Romans 4:1–8
Resp: Psalm 32:1b–2, 5, 11
Gospel: Luke 12:1–7
Memorial of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr
Lectionary: 471
My dear brothers and sisters, today’s readings remind us that our worth lies not in our achievements, but in God’s mercy and love. Faith, not fear, is our foundation. Like Abraham, let us trust God’s promises. Like David, let us rejoice in forgiveness. Like Ignatius of Antioch, let us stand firm in witness to the truth, even when it costs us greatly. May these lessons inspire us to live each day with sincerity, courage, and trust in God’s providence. Please remember, if you have prayer requests, share them with us so that as a community, we may pray for one another, especially those carrying heavy burdens. We look forward to being with you again tomorrow to reflect on God’s Word together. May God bless and keep you always.
