In this series of video lessons, students will learn how to create an “Compound Word Game” app. The finished app will give younger users a set of three images and challenge them to identify the second part of a compound word that all three images have in common.

The Common Core Standard addressed by this series of video lessons includes:

Use knowledge of the meaning of individual words to predict the meaning of compound words (e.g., birdhouse, lighthouse, housefly; bookshelf, notebook, bookmark).
