Simba E60 S - Your robust partner in production drilling

In this walkaround video we talk about the new Simba E60 S, the replacer for Simba M6C. Both the Simba M6C and E60 S have the robust i-bream configuration and feature the proven Epiroc Rig Control System, RCS 5.

Another great feature of the Simba E60 S is the Carrier Control System. We have replaced the old 24 V based relay logic with the control system logic. This opens up for future improvements in terms of automation features and battery-electric driveline.

When it comes to increasing the utilization and effectiveness of running our production drills rigs, teleremote operation is the way forward. The Simba E60 S has updated cameras, six of them, and a new dual control room feature. The dual control room feature means that the machine can be remotely operated from one control room underground, complemented by another control room on the surface. This enables true 24/7 operations since a lot of valuable time is saved during shift changes.
