I was struggling to do this stage on GL and honestly, it's just not a fun stage. We're getting into another overly heavy BRV damage reduction era in GL. So I decided to just go in and out for a quick solo run with Freya's LD in JP. In GL I'm struggling to deal BRV damage with a full team with party auras, and the Orb is annoying, but here? Dragon Breath goes brrrrrr, Freya goes KOKOJA, and the Orb goes boom and Freya is fine. It's quite a stark difference.

Doing solo runs with Freya is cool though, it still has some challenge. The most boring aspects of the game are handled by her rework and LD, you don't have to plod away for ages while struggling to do BRV damage even with top characters or base a party composition around overcoming arbitrary auras. Instead the game kind of just becomes a quick test of your wits with her kit, and you focus on the actual boss mechanics. Knowing when to use skills or save them, knowing when to jump, when to use your call and summon, etc. It's fun.

It's entirely possible that I'm just not bothered with GL at this point due to having so much fun with Freya's LD and that's why I can't figure out the stage on GL but honestly that's fine if so. I will try the final Lufenia on GL after this (it's an FFIX chapter and Freya makes an appearance so I will want to check it out anyway), but other than that I may wind down on GL and just casually upload JP Freya runs on occasion. Always subject to change but I do need to spend more time on other things outside of DFFOO, and JP is just more fun for me right now.
