A fix for the slow mouse speed in the menus of Dead Island, Dead Island Riptide**, and the Definitive Editions** of each.

*NOTE* for vanilla RIPTIDE and the DEFINITIVE EDITIONS of each game: you will have to dig down in the game's folders and extract the 'Data0.pak' file (instead of 'Data3.pak'). Then complete the rest of the steps. Thanks to Eray Bülbüller and Mert Kahyaoğlu for confirming.

-You will need a file archiver/extraction program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to perform this fix.

Instructions:
Make folders called "Data" & "Skills" at the file path shown (starting at 0:13)
at 0:32 it is showing a different location where you will get the xml file (from the .pak file) that you will edit. (Don't mess with the .pak files here, just make a copy per the next step).
Note: See the description under the video regarding your game version for which .pak file to save to desktop for extraction.
0:46 to 1:00 copy the .pak to desktop and then extract it so that you can work in the extracted 'Data' folder.
1:02 to 1:16 in the extracted 'Data' folder, dig down to the 'default_levels.xml' file and save a copy to desktop.
1:23 open the xml file with notepad, and edit using the values that are listed below.
NOTE: Sorry for the confusion at 1:33, that window was for me to copy the values 😅, but you don't need to have a second xml file for anything.
2:28 save the edited xml file, and close it.
2:34 copy the edited xml file back into the Skills folder that you created in the first step.

Please note that driving sensitivity is adjusted also, but it is manageable and well worth it to have better mouse speed in the menus.
