This is my second trip to Tokyo this year, and somehow, I still can’t get enough of the quiet charm it continues to hold over me. I’m not sure what it is, perhaps a small act of romanticism, my own ode to this vast, ever-moving metropolis. Despite its sheer scale, I find it surprisingly easy to discover moments of peace and time for reflection. Even while on holiday, I’m always struck by the subtle considerations for harmony, nature, and calm that seem to flow through everyday life here.

As a love song to Tokyo and its surrounding areas, this film is part 1 of my visual diary of my journey told without spoken dialogue. Creating this video allowed me to relive the memories I’ve gathered while dreaming of my next return.
