This inflatable Santa is simulated using LS-DYNA Explicit and was made by Skylar Sible from our DYNAmore Office in Dublin, Ohio.

The fabric material is modeled with *MAT_FABRIC form 14 this in combination with shell elements with elform 9 allows us to define the fabric properties in both fiber directions. Fabric is woven which means it doesn't always stretch the same amount when pulled from opposite sides.

The way Santa comes to life is being filled with air, the air applies a pressure to the inside of the closed volume.
This is why we used *LOAD_SHELL_SET to apply an internal pressure increasing over time, ramping the pressure up and down is how we make Santa dance.
