In this short video we show the process of producing a cast metal sign. It begins with creating a sign pattern from acrylic, or wood, which is then used to make a mould using fine sand which sets with a special hardener.

The two halves of the mould are put back together with the pattern removed, leaving a cavity into which the molten metal can be poured. After a few minutes the metal sets and the mould can be broken open, revealing the cast sign.

The sign is then cleaned and fettled, before being painted and finished to our customer's specification.
