AC flare nut rusted! '92 Toyota pickup truck 22RE.

Finally! I had to cut a chunk out of a flare nut, making it into a C shape, to get it to finally let go. I finally replaced my leaky AC line in my '92 Toyota pickup truck, at 376K miles. It initially chilled to 52F at the vent with doors open and outside temp around 105F.

Later that afternoon, I saw 38F!

The following hot day, it reached 60F after about a mile of driving, which is interesting. There was a time, prior to another repair I made, that it took a mile for it to reach 60 mph! 😆

The point of this video is to encourage you to fix your AC, although admittedly not teach you how; there are too many causes, and plenty of videos for your particular situation. I'm just showing that my old AC line was stuck, a flare nut refusing to let go, even with flare nut wrenches, spray lube, a hammer, etc. So I used a cutoff wheel on a drill to cut off a chunk of that nut, to peel it off, more than simply unscrew it.

After that, it was a simple task of evacuating and recharging.
