Trying Out The Nail Perfect Fiber Gel On My Own Nails

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Kirsty Meakin Shooooooow! And today we’re doing my nails and we’ve got new lenses and the whole thing is just stressful, but hopefully you’ll see everything close up.

I’ve prepped my nails already and I’m using the Nail Perfect system for the first time so this will be an honest review. I’m also using Nail Gaga tips. There’s 12 sizes in this box which is pretty good and gives you a wide range too.

I’m gonna cut down the length, pinch the tip a little and file into a modern almond before blending the tip, I want the shape right before I blend the tip in to give a little extra strength at that contact point. I’m gonna clean back over with the blue scrub and I’m using Fiber Gel. I’m going to lay down a very thin layer of the coloured Fiber Gel, cure that and then get a nice big bead to build up that nail. Whilst it’s still warm from the lamp I’m going to pinch it and then I’m gonna use clear to apply the shards. I’m then going to use the cover pink and overlap onto the shards and finish the nail with clear. Then clean it over again and sculpt out the rest.

I’m going to try with the hand file first to smooth and shape the nails. I wanna check down the barrel of the nail to make sure it’s smooth and there’s no lumpy bumpy bits. I’m going to use the e-file and the secret weapon bit for those nails with the shards at the cuticle area for more precision and control. Once they’re all filed I’m going to buff them smooth ready for the decoration.

I’m going to use the clear Fiber Gel to adhere the Metal Trinkets and shards to the nail to give the nail a little je ne sais quoi. I’m going to use the needle end of the Pammy Picker Upper to fill in that ring with gel and create a bit of a dome shape. I’m going to use the Nailchemy Crystal Gem Glue for the rest of the gems.

I’m going to finish it all off with Kirsty Meakin Top Coat.
