I got CamStudio screen recording software and after testing, the audio seems to be superior to that of HyperCam 2, which is what I had been using. I will need to move the microphone away from my mouth a bit from now on so that it will not record the disgusting spit noises from my mouth and my loud breathing.

I also tested SmoothDraw 3, a painting software similar to Microsoft Paint, but it has a few more capabilities that I like about it. Salman Khan from khanacademy uses and it works well for him.

After recording the video I found a way to sync the sound up with the video (CamStudio did the same thing that HyperCam 2 with PowerPoint had been doing), so if anyone wants me to use PowerPoint instead of SmoothDraw 3 for any of the videos then I will. I may end up switching between the two since I will need diagrams and drawing my own diagrams would not yield the best results (I am no artist, after all!).

Let me know what you think about:

1.) subject matter for future tutorials
2.) black or white background
3.) pen size
4.) recording region size
5.) SmoothDraw 3, PowerPoint, or a combination of both.

If any of these need changing, then just say so in the comments! If you have any other FREE software suggestions then leave that in the comments as well. This video will probably not go on my website since it's not really relevant and doesn't contain any real learning material. Plus, I have no idea where I would put it.
