Far before I knew the existence of Geometry Dash for the first time back in 2014, I was involved in a Happy Tree Friends (HTF) community, and interacted with fellow fans of the show. I used to watch the show a lot from 2010-2013 when it was still active. Unironically that show is one of my childhood cartoons despite the show having so much gore and violence on it lmao. I don’t know why but I found the show interesting to watch and luckily I could bear all of the gore and violence in the show even tho I was still a child at that time. I still remember when the show was viral on YouTube (the most viewed HTF video has 96M views as of now) and even YouTube itself made a collab video with Mondomedia (an animation studio that produced the show) titled “YouTube Copyright School” and “YouTube 101: Subscriptions”. Sadly, the show ended in 2016 because Mondomedia didn’t make new episodes of HTF anymore after the original creator of HTF left Mondomedia. So I decided to “recall my old memories” about the show by making this level and kinda “revive” the hype surrounding the show as I see the HTF community is still active now even after all these years.

Without any previews and almost completely secret. Finally, I can show you what I’m doing a few months back. This level is my full art solo level that I’ve been working on for 5 months. I started this project on April 10 this year when I finished the layout of the level. I had a concept before all of this project started about wanting to make an HTF-themed level as I saw no one make it into Geometry Dash as a serious level before. Also, the intention of me making this level came from that one cerufiffy’s tweet back on December 6, 2020. He tweeted about “tw // htf. there needs to be a happy tree friends themed level” and I was thinking why not? So here it is. I’ve been working on this level on and off for 5 months and it’s not easy to make a full art level like this. This is also my first time trying to do 12 different block designs on each part of the level with a focus on details and color combinations on the block design. Also, I made the art as precise as possible. It’s not an easy task and it takes a lot of time and patience. Especially for making a total of 22 different designs of characters art and 14 different backgrounds art (including the end art). So far, I made like 85% of the level and I asked my creator friends named iFuriFin and RuebeXPX to help me with making the rest of the art needed for the level. I want my level to have a lot of colors and simple effects for additional details to the level as it’s one of the important aspects of the level besides the main focus which is the art itself.

Finally, I can proudly say that the level is now finished after 5 months of the building process. I think this is one of the levels that I put the most effort into. I used over 600 triggers (mainly for move triggers and alpha triggers) and approximately 750 color channels for this level alone. I also put 4 hours into making the ULDM and LDM for the level along with bug-checking and fixing every single visual bug on the level as well to make sure the level is perfect in the final version.

The level has 152,9K total objects (after optimization) and it’s normal because of the amount of effort I put into each part of the level. I already optimized the level from 170K total objects and reduced the numbers tho. Don’t worry, I already put a strong LDM and ULDM for this level. Once again, I'm glad this level is running successfully during the building process from its start until the final result. I hope you still like it and play it~ (づ｡◕ з ◕｡)づ ✿

P.S : I recorded this level in an unoptimized state. So some minor visual bugs still appeared in the level. But I already updated the level and fixed all the bugs in the final version + slightly nerfed the level too 🙂

DISCLAIMER : I suggest you turn on the ULDM or LDM if you experience excessive lag because this level is very heavy objects.
