After camping in Mountain Lion territory we hit the trail early and made it to the rim before the morning heat set in. Because we rerouted, we exited the canyon 5 miles away from where we'd parked, but thankfully a nice van life couple picked us up and got us safely back to my van! I've never cried or eaten so much as I did that evening
