Hohgant / Furggengütsch Ostgrat / on the Spectacular Narrow ridge to Summit / Finest T6- Hike

Hohgant is a mountain massiv of the Emmental Alps. Gateway to the Berner Voralpen.
From the summit amazing view opens to the lowlands as well as the whole Berner Alps.
We have hiked the Ostgrat on Furggengütsch, which is the highest peak on Hohgant with 2197m.
Up there leads also hiking trail T3, but we have choose the Ostgrat, which is mostly described as T6- on the hiking scale. Really exposed is almost the whole ridge, many climbing sections II.UIAA, mostly in solid rock, on some places is the rock falling apart.
In overall, we can recommend Ostgrat Furggengütsch, for us is this hike one of the best T6 hikes of the region.
