Leicester Transport Heritage Trust & Great Central Railway Bus and Railcar Rally 2024 - part four

My visit to the superb heritage bus and diesel railcar rally on Saturday 18th May 2024 organised jointly by the Leicester Transport Heritage Trust and Great Central Railway.

The event featured a variety of heritage buses from several decades and also diesel multiple units although we also saw steam at the event.

For this fourth video I decide to focus on AEC Regent III registration KLB 596.

This AEC was built in 1950 for London Transport and given the number RT1347. It was one of nine EX-LT RT's operated by Browns Blue between 1958 and 1963 It was withdrawn in 1978 from Barking Garage passing to a member of the North West Museum of Transport in St Helens. After a short time it moved onto Peter Bailey (Black and White Motorways) of Andover, Hampshire and was used in his private hire fleet until purchased by Mick Gamble in May 2012.
