This is a 96 240SX we just built. It is running an 08 Nissan 350Z VQ35HR engine with an automatic transmission. (yes, I said auto. The customer is not able to shift due to a disability) So, the automatic trans presents some issues when doing a swap because of the different signals required to make it shift that are only available on the CAN-BUS system (like speed sensor) but we have it all figured out.
And as if the VQ35HR wasn't enough power for this light chassis, we also built a one-off single turbo kit for it using a Garrett GT35R turbo, 550cc injectors, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Tial 38mm external wastegate, 304 stainless turbo manifolds, and a 1-in, 2out front mount intercooler. We have custom fabricated every component here in-house at Z-Fever in Tampa.
This is a quick video of the initial start up for the customer to see that it is running. It is NOT the final product.
The key ingredient to this build is our patented wiring harness and tuning service that allows you to run the OEM stock EFI wiring harness and ECU from the 350Z/G35. We have been providing this service for customers for the VQ series of engines since 2005.
