1956 (Here is Shirley Bassey's third single for the Philips label. This song was Side A, and Side B was, 'If You Don't Love Me. When Shirley received her first recording contract, she really didn't know at the time exactly WHAT her singing style should be or the genre of music that she should sing. And so, Shirley and her lable (Philips) experimented with different genres of music to help her find her own unique singing style. Shirley's first top 10 chart success would come one year later in 1957 with 'The Banana Boat Song' and in she would achieve her first Number 1 hit in 1958 with 'As I Love You'.

This song represents a wonderful example of the very 'Early' Shirley music.
