Yesterday, captain Steve and i went to San Clemente island. We went thru quite a bit of kelps and saw nothing but we did see 3 marlins near Catalina - manage to catch baby mako shark (released). (We didn’t have any mackerels but we tried to catch it with sardines and nada.) We went to the front side of sci to catch yellows but didn’t see any. (We tried trolling live bait and rapala but nada). We come home around 4:30Pm with 3 nice size sheepheads, 2 Spanish mackerel, and 2 giant white fish and rest are avg. white fish. good job and nice to fish with you !
