Mardi Gras Marching Band in New Orleans! | Local Legends | Brad Leone

Ready for goosebumps? Come to New Orleans with me and meet the Purple Knights of St. Aug, the all-boys Catholic high school with a stellar rep for a whole bunch of reasons - among them, their world-renowned marching band that's the talk of the town every Mardi Gras season.

The question isn't which marching band is "the best in the land" (the St. Augustine High School Marching 100 already has that title - it's painted on the wall of their practice room... right across from their Grammy award).

The question is: what makes them the best? On Episode Two of Local Legends, we're gonna find out.

The Marching 100 has been invited to the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, France in June 2024 to perform as part of the American Musical Salute to Liberation in Sainte-Mere Eglise, the first village liberated by American Paratroopers during the allied invasion of German-occupied France.
