Dodge Charger HEMI V8 AWD – History, Why It Got Cancelled, & When Will it Return?

Today we are looking at the Dodge Charger Hemi AWD. Every so often I get the question: "Why doesn’t Dodge offer a Charger with AWD and a Hemi V8?" Or, "Dodge used to have a Charger R/T AWD, why don’t they anymore? Why on Earth would they cancel it?" Chasing down the answers to those questions inspired this video. There was indeed a Charger R/T with the 5.7L V8 Hemi from 2007 until 2014, but it was cancelled after that and has yet to return. The only AWD models since 2015 have been V6s and Police cars. So, we’ll take a look back at the previous AWD models from 2007-2014 for the Charger R/T, and then look at reasons why the thing was cancelled after that, and why it still hasn’t returned to the market today.
