Complex power is important in power analysis because it contains all the information pertaining to the power absorbed by a given load. This concept has been explained in very simplified manners. Relation of complex power with, apparent power, real power, reactive power has been discussed.

Example 11.11: The voltage across a load is and the current Example 11.11

Find: (a) the complex and apparent powers,
(b) the real and reactive powers, and (c) the power factor and the load
impedance.

Practice Problem 11.11: For a load, Determine: (a) the
complex and apparent powers, (b) the real and reactive powers, and
(c) the power factor and the load impedance.
