AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi criticised China’s assertion that Beijing mediated between India and Pakistan following the May 2025 standoff, calling the claim an “affront to India’s sovereignty” and urging the Union Government to officially reject any third-party intervention. Owaisi said normalcy in ties with China must not come at the cost of India’s honour and noted that India has maintained there was no external mediation in resolving the conflict.
