ELEPHANT SANCTUARY in Chiang Mai - Day 58

Описание к видео ELEPHANT SANCTUARY in Chiang Mai - Day 58

Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand🇹🇭

One thing that is a must do when you visit Chiang Mai, is to go to an Elephant Sanctuary! Which is exactly what we did in today’s vlog!

Chang Chill is one of the few ethical elephant sanctuaries that do not allow hand feeding, bathing - including mud baths - touching, and of course absolutely NO RIDING! We were unsure of what sanctuary we wanted to visit as there are SO MANY to choose from. When doing our research we found that the term “ethical” is used very loosely and the debate remains - is touching and bathing truly ethical?

We didn’t know and we value the animals too highly to take that risk however fun it may look to play with them and get covered in mud. This is why Chang Chill was the perfect choice. They offered a full day packed with incredible information and insight into the four elephants that they keep across 20 acres of land!!! The elephants themselves were a wonder to behold and I speak for both myself and for Austin that being able to see them live in their natural environment without disturbing that in any way, was a once in a lifetime experience.

When visiting an elephant sanctuary, please make sure you do your own research beforehand!
